Inside Installations

Preservation and Presentation of Installation art, 2004 - 2007

De Europese Commissie voor Educatie en Cultuur financiert het installatieproject ‘Inside Installations, Preservation and Presentation of Installation art’. Het gaat om de registratie en documentatie van (multi-media)installaties die vanwege hun complexiteit een heel nieuwe benadering vereisen. Doel is het ontwikkelen van 'best practice', een methodiek voor alle belanghebbenden.

Het ICN (tegenwoordig RCE) is hoofd-organisator van het project, naast co-organisatoren uit Duitsland, Engeland, België, Spanje en Nederland. De SBMK is de Nederlandse coörganisator en bundelt de krachten van vijf Nederlandse musea die elk een case study uit de eigen collectie voor hun rekening nemen. Het gaat om het Bonnefantenmuseum Maastricht, Kröller-Müller Museum, Otterlo, Van Abbemuseum Eindhoven, Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Rotterdam, Instituut Collectie Nederland afdeling Collecties.
