Preservation Media Art Collection Netherlands

The publication Preservation Media Art Collection Netherlands (2010-2012) consists of several parts. The project Preservation Media Art Collection Netherlands was started to preserve media art works or already digitized art works and put them on a new medium. The project also focuses on the management, preservation and accessibility of (complex) media art, installations and born-digital art. The challenge of the project is threefold: How to make the material available in the long term, how to generate the resources, how to develop public and private activities and how to integrate new techniques for conservation and technical workflow? In the publication of the project, different aspects are discussed: objectives, history, organization, technical implementation and direct spin-off.
